Swindon Refurbishment

This refurbishment project in Shaw, Swindon was completed on behalf of a landlord preparing the property for the rental market. The aim was to modernise the home, improve its long term durability and present it to a high standard for new tenants.

The project began with a full property clearance, removing all existing contents and waste before carrying out a thorough clean and inspection. During the early stages, areas of damp were identified and the necessary investigations and remedial works were completed to resolve the underlying issues before the refurbishment progressed.

Once the property was ready, we carried out a complete internal renovation. This included full plastering and redecoration throughout, creating a fresh, modern finish. A brand new kitchen and bathroom were installed, complemented by contemporary wall and floor tiling, new vinyl flooring in the kitchen for practicality and new carpets throughout the main living areas and bedrooms.

To complete the internal works, we installed new blinds and light fittings throughout the property and arranged all relevant certification, ensuring the home was fully compliant and ready for immediate occupation.

A number of further improvements were also carried out both inside and out. These included installing a new front door, garage door and openable bathroom window, repairing the existing garage door lock and fitting bespoke wardrobes to make better use of the available space.

Externally, the property was refreshed with lifted and re-laid patio slabs, jet washing and repointing, repainting of the soffits and the installation of timber sleepers to improve and define the garden.

The completed refurbishment has transformed this Shaw property into a smart, low maintenance rental home, providing the landlord with a high quality finish that will stand up to everyday use while maximising the property's appeal to prospective tenants.
